isolated twist lock cans for use in power supplies with voltage doublers, such as the McIntosh MC225, MC240 and MC75.
They can also be used in any application where a 150 - 250 UF/250V electrolytic capacitor is needed. You get (2) capacitors for the lisrted price
If you have purchased a vintage amplifier and have not changed the power supply capacitors, you have a time bomb on your hands.
Don't fool around with NOS capacitors unless you are looking for trouble.
These are new manufacture direct fit replacements for the originals and are only 2.75 inches high. The diameter is the standard 1 3/8". And, they are true isolated cans, a requirement for the voltage doublers. These fit right into the original insulator and metal mounts on the chassis. Don't hack your amplifier up, don't use NOS capacitors, use these new direct replacements.

These capacitors are gorgeous and typically German well made. We have them installed in our MC225 amplifiers. Please see the photos of the capacitors as well as a MC225 application photo (MC225 not included in sale). For the MC225, you have the added benefit of an extra 100uf of capacitance per side on the doubler. The low end improvement in the MC225 is substantial. These capacitors have a surge voltage of 275V, working voltage at 250V and low ESR. These are also perfect fits for the amplifiers listed above as well as others.
